Optimized Resveratrol 250 mg, 60 vegetarian capsules Findings from published scientific literature indicate that resveratrol may be the most effective plant extract for maintaining optimal health.103 Scientists have hypothesized that resveratrol may be a key component of the famous French Paradox, whereby the French traditionally were protected against heart disease despite a diet high in butter and animal fats. Resveratrol is a phytoalexin, a natural plant antibiotic which is produced by Vitis vinifera as a response to attack by molds. Because of the wide-spread use of pesticides in modern wine-making, including the practice of copper sulphation, the level of resveratrol in modern wines has plummeted. Red wine contains resveratrol, but the quantity varies depending on where the grapes are grown, the time of harvest, and other factors. In fact, usually only one to three mg resveratrol per liter of red wine is currently found, even in the most robust red wines. After years of relentless research, a standardized resveratrol extract is now available as a dietary supplement. This whole grape extract contains a spectrum of polyphenols that are naturally contained in red wine such as proanthocyanidins, anthocyanins, flavonoids, etc. Research funded by the Life Extension Foundation showed that a combination of low-dose (20 mg) resveratrol plus grapeseed extract mimicked many of the favorable gene expression changes seen in calorie-restricted animals. I ordered the Resveratrol from another company and they wanted an ongoing order where they took $80.00 out every month. I looked closly and the caps the expensive product had were geleton. This product is made with vegie caps, much better for you. Great price for this also.

Resveratrol has gotten a lot of hype lately. As a result, there are a lot of products on the market. This is a bottle of trans-Resveratrol at a high enough dose to do some good, without any extra ingredients.

This product is the right dose (250mg) so I was interested in buying it. However, the vendor doesn't supply any significant description of the product.
Is it Organic?
Is it Natural?
What is the source of the product?
Where is it made?
What does "Optimized" mean?
...I'm off to find another vendor for Resveratrol.

This is a great pill that everyone should be taking. it is the red wine compound that promotes longer life, better skin and hair, etc. I haver been taking it foir 2 months now and recommend this for everyone who wants to feel better.
